A World without God

In life, I have seen when things get tough the thought has crosses my mind to blame someone or something...sadly that someone often times is God.  But why would we choose to blame the one who gives us everything?

I recently had a conversation with a man who was a little confused.  He had told us he had some mishaps in life with religion and such and now he was taking a brake from God for awhile.  He said he just wants to be left alone to his own thoughts.   Now, as I processed this conversation in my mind I could not help but want to plead out WHY?!  The man told us how he was unhappy and confused, how he just has to many unanswered questions, but if he chooses to blame God (or take a brake from him) he is closing the door to help from above.

Why is that a nature tendency to push away the one that loves us most? Our Heavenly Father's goal is not to make life miserable and force us to suffer.   He gave us life so we could find true joy  .  But for one reason or another myself guilty also when life gets tough our reaction is "Oops its God's fault..."

I think that false blame is exactly the trap Satan wants us all to fall for.  What better way to lead us down to unhappiness, than cause us to forget our Creator.  Satan is clever with this trap of his.  He gets us confused and turned around until we close the door to the one that can help us.

If we ever find our self in such a situation we need to stop and ask our self why?  We must not forget our special relationship with our Heavenly Father.  That of literal Father and child.  When a toddler takes a tumble, his parent always scoops him up and makes it all better...I can guarantee the last thing on that little guys mind would be "No put me down, I don't want to be helped, I don't need you.."  So why should we chose to do that now.  Rely on our Heavenly Father when life gets tough and embrace in his saving arms.
Allow Him to scoop you up and put you back on your feet.

I know that God is our Heavenly Father.  I am grateful that He is forgiving and is always willing to wrap me in His saving arms.  I know that He loves us, and that He is real.

Tell a friend about what God has done for you!  Remind them of the help He can give to them.  Strive to not be fooled or become a victim of Satan's trap. A world without God would be a miserable place, don't blame Him but embrace Him!

Don't Limit God's Love

Lucky me I got a letter from my mom (or as I call her "My Peach") the other day, which is always awesome.  This letter stood out to me, at the end of the letter she shared a quote with me.

"Our Heavenly Father, who loves us completely and perfectly, permits us to have experiences that will allow us to develop the traits and attributes we need to become more and more Christlike....As we understand this doctrine, we gain greater assurance of our Father's love."

                                                                                                       -James B. Martino

God allows us to experience life because He loves us.  Not only does He gives us this life, but He has provided a way to find the most happiness in life through His plan.  This plan has many names, Plan of Happiness, Plan of Salvation, Plan of Mercy, Plan of Redemption, and more.  This plan is simple, but perfect.  God has allowed us to have this life, to learn, to grow, to find happiness, and become better through Christ.  After this testing period, through the Atonement of Christ we get to return to Our Loving Father in Heaven.

Us finding that happiness is dependent upon our choices we make.  God loves us so much that He lets us choose the sort of life we want to live.  As we choose righteousness we find the happiness God has promised us.  I love this video telling us, how we can find happiness

As we choose righteousness I know, no matter what our situation or our circumstances maybe we will feel God's love more often in our lives.  I have seen this first hand in my own life, as I have chosen righteousness over worldly happiness.   God will always love us, but let's not limit ourselves on how much of that love we get to feel.  Choose RIGHTOUSNESS!! Choose LOVE!!

Somethings Just Can't be Put into Words

What is Love?  I will let you roll that one around in your head for a moment.  You are probably thinkin' something along the lines of when you really really like someone, like really like, or to as far as when you are willing to give up your life for someone.  These are some definitions of love, but I do not think it gives love justice.  Love is not black and white, or plain and simple, the only real way to know love is to feel it.

There are just somethings in life we can't explain with words.  That is okay, I would even go as far as to say God made us that way.  We can't figure everything out in life with our minds, there are somethings the heart has to handle.

It is like when we are faced with a big decision, we usually brainstorm all the outcomes and possibilities, but I dare say 9 times out of 10 we go with our gut feeling, whether it be the most logical or not.  We are all blessed with the influence or light of Christ, we need to rely on and recognize these feelings as they come to us!

In Galatians 5:22,23 gives a description of what the spirit feels like.  Now, this is a helpful guide to understand or recognize the spirit, but until you feel the spirit, you won't know.

God gives us the opportunity to feel something amazing, but we can't necessarily put it in to words.  The feeling is an emotion which can not be fully explain in words.  Once you feel it, you know.  It is not a mind game! God will touch our heart when we are ready and fill our heart with the spirit.

Maybe we can't exactly explain how it feels, or exactly how we know in words.  Words are not everything.  A definition does not make something fact.  Just like with love, it is indescribable, but it's still REAL!

Next, time you are asked "Well...what does it feel like or how do you know?"  good luck explaining it, but instead I would encourage you to challenge your friend to find out for themselves, by humbly kneeling down and praying to God....wait....and feel.  We need to help everyone find, and be familiar with this indescribable blessing, let's help everyone feel the spirit!
